The client previously had traditional wooden-brown kitchen cabinets, laminate countertops, a top mounted sink, an electric stove & microwave vent hood combination, and a dishwasher surrounding a central kitchen island. The walk-in pantry had a combination of wire racks and wooden shelves for storage in a small configuration. The kitchen’s main light source was a large central flourescent light fixture located above the kitchen island accompanied with natural ambient light coming from kitchen windows. The kitchen and walk-in pantry had a different pattern of flooring ranging from 2′ x 2′ tile with marble visuals in the kitchen and hardwood flooring in the pantry.
This kitchen has hosted and entertained friends and family over time while providing a good amount of storage, and gave somewhat of an open feel. The client was ready for a full kitchen makeover and consulted OMG Kitchen & Bath Remodeling.
